It is upbeat and rhythmically fast because it was used to make the work day go by faster. Yeah The Sugar retook Brooklyn on 6/14/14. Out of a packed house, less than a dozen were people of color. This is especially true of Apollo which is an excellent composition but that sounded better on the studio disc. All about body movement, dancing and the human spectacle, it stole colorful clothing and drugs from the Hippies, up-beat driven rhythms from the Beatniks and combined them in a sexy, seductive libido-based production praising dance and expressive human life.

Its varying tempos and dynamics express strong emotions and passion. The only reason to consider swing and bebop as branches of the same musical genre is that they shared the same instrumentation and the passion for improvisation (and, mostly, the color of the skin). Maybe you should write a part about Greek dance music :PP Vaguely political chorous + ad-libbed gibberish lyrics that kind of rhyme + Mediocre guitar solo with sitar effects = system of a down song.

Its not unusual in this genre for artists to play in a humorously de-constructive style, or in a way that exaggerates the nuances of older styles. It felt like I had short-circuited my complete - you know, the nerves on that side.
